FIFA Awards its First Peace Prize to President Donald Trump

FIFA brings out its new award for peace across the footballing world

Washington, D.C.- During the festivities of the FIFA World Cup Final Draw, Gianni Infantino had a special moment for President of the United States Donald Trump. For the first time, the Federation of International Football Association created the inaugural Peace Prize in recognition of his efforts to promote peace worldwide and for the game across the globe.

Awarded on stage at the Kennedy Center

Several Marines dressed up carrying the FIFA Peace Prize trophy, a certificate for the award, and a medal as FIFA President Gianna Infantino presented this honor to President Trump for his work making deals across the globe to stop wars and bring peace across the world. A short speech was made by Trump thanking FIFA for this moment.

Will this be a new award every year or every four years?

While I never thought I would see an international Sports governing body create an award like this, I hope FIFA will continue to make this either an annual award during their FIFA awards, or if this is a once in every four years during the World Cup Draw, I hope they will nominate others who have done just as much as President Trump has done during his second term running the United States. Making this a one-time situation wouldn’t be good.
