The Confederation of North America, Central America and the Caribbean for Football has signed up as an exclusive partner with SoccerEx, the Exposition that is held in Miami every year for clubs, businesses, and others to display their products for the game, from clubs like Club America, travel agencies, equipment manufacturers, new American clubs introducing themselves, and game manufacturers to the sport of the World’s Favorite Game in several locations like the Miami Beach Convention Center, The Hard Rock Hotel and Casino in Seminole Hollywood, Florida, and many other locations every year.
CONCACAF’s involvement
The regional confederation continues to find ways to help improve the game from the North American Zone, the Central American Zone, and the Caribbean Zone, along with the three nations in the northern end of South America, signed up to be a partner for the 2026 edition at a location to be announced, from Soccerex, which will be displayed on Thursday, September 24th, and Friday, September 25th. Joining with Soccerex will also help strengthen their abilities for education and continuing to grow the game in this region. The last time they had a booth or a display was in the 2024 edition at the Hard Rock, when they displayed their trophies in the Champions Cup, Women’s Champions Cup, Nations League, and the Gold Cup.
“This partnership provides Concacaf with a valuable opportunity to showcase the continued growth and evolution of football across our region and to engage with leaders from across the global game. We look forward to using Soccerex Miami 2026 to tell our story, build meaningful relationships and advance conversations that support our strategic priorities and create new opportunities for football throughout our 41 Member Associations,” said General Secretary of CONCACAF Philippe Moggio
Soccerex has done this for three decades
This year, Soccerex will be celebrating 30 years of this wonderful exposition they put on in the United States and recently around the world. They have multiple booths for anyone who wants to talk to people involved in the game. Some are repeat vendors, some are brand new. During the two days of this event, they have symposium sessions discussing the different aspects of the game, from ownership to a club’s academy pyramid to the first team. Even the most famous club in recent years displayed their third jersey as Wrexham came over to discuss their Welsh roots to the Falkland Islands near Argentina when they flew over their fans to watch a match that was documented for their “Welcome to Wrexham” Docuseries.
Discussing a legends match between the USA and Brazil after both sides played each other in the 1994 World Cup Round of 16 match at the Rose Bowl. U.S. Men’s National Team legends like Eric Wynalda and Alexi Lalas discuss the build-up to the 1994 World Cup when they played on the squad. Companies that build special bleachers or benches for events and construct a new stadium with different materials that make it look stronger. Media members come to the event to discuss among themselves and to host discussions on certain topics.
“Football has always been about bringing people together, and for nearly 30 years Soccerex has served as the platform where the business of the game comes together. We’ve built a place where relationships are formed, ideas are shared, and opportunities are created that help move football forward.
Partnering with Concacaf is a natural fit because we’re aligned in our commitment to growing football, strengthening the broader ecosystem and creating lasting opportunities across North America, Central America and the Caribbean. Together, we have an opportunity to connect the right people, create meaningful impact both on and off the pitch, and lay the foundation for further collaboration that can benefit not only our organizations, but the future of football throughout the region,” said Garrett Navia, CEO of Soccerex
My personal thoughts
I have heard about Soccerex, but never went down to attend it till two years ago at the Seminole Hard Rock Hotel and Casino in Hollywood, Florida, and last year at the Miami Beach Convention Center. Attending the different symposiums and interviewing the vendors within the convention space has been a fun time for me, and I enjoy talking to those who are happy someone has taken an interest in their products or in their business. From creating a giant Foosball table that is a replica of a famous football ground to a local equipment company trying to make it big.
From the sports travel industry to scouting players within a region or the entire world. From a nostalgia football shirt selling business to meeting a brand new professional club that will begin soon in our American Soccer Leagues. Chatting with colleagues in the media, talking to some of the legends in the game from around the world, and meeting people who were hired to make paintings of soccer or sporting moments, and a cool flamingo that looks like it belongs on a New York City Subway Car from the 70’s & 80’s. Soccerex is a fantastic event every year, and I’m excited to make my return for the third straight year.
