WEST POINT, N.Y. — Army West Point men’s basketball watched Boston University turn Christl Arena into a layup line Wednesday night.
The Terriers shot a scorching 65.9% from the floor, piled up 36 points in the paint, and pulled away late for an 85-68 Patriot League win that completed a regular-season sweep of the Black Knights.
Army fell to 10-16 overall and 4-9 in league play, while Boston U. improved to 11-15 and 6-7.
How It Happened
Army struck first with Jaxson Bell burying a 3-pointer off a no-look pass from Jorn Everson, then knocking down another triple off a Ryan Curry dish. Curry’s lane jumper trimmed it to 9-8 with 16:12 left in the first half — and then the game flipped.

Boston U. ripped off an 8-0 run over the next two minutes to open a 17-8 lead, forcing Army to chase from behind.
The Black Knights answered with their sharpest stretch of the night, outscoring the Terriers 14-6 to claw back within one at 23-22 with 9:25 remaining. Jacen Holloway splashed a 3, Joshua Eli finished a jumper off a Jackson Furman pass, Holloway added points at the line, Curry hit his first 3 of the night, and Bell’s steal helped spring a fast-break finish for Everson.
But Boston U. regained control with a 12-2 burst to push the margin to 35-24 with 3:38 left, then carried a 40-29 lead into halftime.
Black Rifle Coffee
The Terriers hit first, hit often, and never let up — the kind of night that demands a reset and a refocus.

Army opened the second half with Bell scoring all five points in a quick stretch, but Boston U. kept answering, maintaining a double-digit cushion.
The Black Knights made one more serious push at the midpoint of the half. Holloway poured in nine points in four minutes — two 3s and a three-point play — and Army later trimmed the deficit to 63-53 with 9:30 left after a 7-2 run.
Even then, the Terriers never blinked. Army briefly made it a single-digit game at 67-58 with 7:28 remaining, but Boston U. responded with an 11-4 surge — and then slammed the door with a 12-0 run in the final four minutes to turn a fight into a finish.
