WEST POINT, N.Y. — Army West Point women’s tennis stayed rolling this weekend, going 3–0 for the third consecutive weekend with wins over FDU, Monmouth, and Fairfield to improve to 9–2 on the 2025–26 season.
Across the three duals (Friday–Saturday), the Black Knights dropped just one of 13 awarded team points, continuing a dominant home stretch built on fast starts in doubles and decisive straight-set finishes.
Weekend recap
Friday: Army 4, FDU 0
Army opened the weekend with a clean sweep of FDU, powered by five 6–0 set wins and double-bagels from Vennmukiil Mathivanan and Stacey Samonte in singles.
Saturday morning: Army 4, Monmouth 0
The Black Knights carried the momentum into Saturday morning, cruising past Monmouth 4–0.
- Olivia Manson made her first career appearance at No. 1 singles and delivered a statement 6–0, 6–2 win over Hannah McKinney.
- Lillian Zhang picked up her first dual-match singles and doubles wins, highlighted by a 6–0, 6–1 singles victory over Jillian Gray.
Saturday afternoon: Army 4, Fairfield 1
The Black Knights closed the weekend with a 4–1 win over Fairfield.
- Stacey Samonte headlined the day with a 6–2, 6–0 singles win.
- Straight-set wins from Madison Smith and Emily Ruckno on the top two courts helped push Army across the finish line.
