WICHITA, KS — Army West Point baseball catcher Jack Quinlan was named to the Buster Posey Award Preseason Watch List on February 4, ahead of the 2026 season.
The Buster Posey Award, presented by the Wichita Sports Commission, recognizes the best overall catcher in collegiate baseball.

Quinlan enters the season with momentum after a strong 2025 campaign. The senior hit .319 (second on the team), led Army in OPS (.982), and started 39 games behind the plate. He was also a Buster Posey Award semifinalist last season and has now landed back on the national radar with a preseason watch-list nod.
Quinlan, a Long Island native, was also named to the Preseason Patriot League All-Conference Team, adding another layer of expectation to an Army group that will be tested immediately.
