Florham Park, NJ- After trading Sauce Gardner to the Indianapolis Colts, the New York Jets traded All-Pro Defensive tackle Quinnen Williams to the Dallas Cowboys for a 2026 second-round pick and a 2027 first-round pick, and brought over Defensive Tackle Mazi Smith. What the Jets get
Trading away Quinnen Williams, the Jets received Defensive Tackle Mazi Smith. The two draft picks they also received from the Cowboys are a 2026 second-rounder and one of the two higher first-round picks the Cowboys received from the Green Bay Packers in the Micah Parsons trade.
Quinnen Williams’ Jets Tenure
The third overall pick in the first round of the 2019 NFL Draft, he collected 40 sacks through six and a half seasons. Sixth most among Defensive Tackles since 2019. Compiled 281 Quarterback pressures ranks seventh among Defensive Tackles and is a three-time Pro Bowler.
The future for the Jets
After making these deals, the Jets now through two drafts in 2026 & 2027, have compiled five first-round draft picks altogether. Two of their own and three from both the Colts and Cowboys. As we know, they will be fully stocked for the future, but it still hurts to see Gardner and Quinnen Williams move away to other teams.
