Cologne, GER- Germany returned home and played a better match in front of their supporters
Germany takes the early lead

Northern Ireland pulls off an equalizer
Northern Ireland started to develop an attacking run. They earned a corner at the far side. When Justin Devenny struck the ball toward the near side, Isaac Price made a run. lifting his left boot and hitting the ball underneath the crossbar, putting fear into the German fans in the 34th minute.
Germany regains the lead
Late in the second half, Germany retook the lead. Moving up the ball was David Raum along the near side. Crossed a great ball to a teammate who played as a dummy and allowed it to bounce toward the substitute Nadiem Amiri, fooling Peacock-Farell to give Amiri an open net, and scored in the 69th minute.

Final goal cements the three points
Germany earned a free kick; it looked like it was a debate on who would take the chance. When a man left early, that was the signal for Florian Richard Wirtz to take the free kick, as he bent it beautifully inside the upper near 90 for the three goals to one lead, and gave Germany the full three points in the 72nd minute.
