The New York Rangers have traded Vincent Trocheck to the Utah Mammoth for Defenseman Sean Durzi, Forward Cole Beaudoin, and a third-round pick in 2027.
Trocheck’s Rangers career
For these past four seasons, Vincent Trocheck was the second-line center and was an excellent faceoff winner, playing in 313 games, scoring 89 goals and 164 assists for 253 points. He made many memorable moments for the Rangers in the Stanley Cup Playoffs and the two outdoor games in the comeback victory over the New York Islanders two years ago at the Stadium Series at MetLife Stadium, and last season Winter Classic game at Loan Depot Park against the Florida Panthers when he slipped and rode his backside on the ice to make a great pass to help create the second goal for Mika Zibanejad’s Hat Trick.
Who the Rangers are getting
In 60 games for the Mammoth last year, Sean Durzi scored five goals and 22 assists for 27 points. He was tied for second in goals and ranked second with four power play points and third in points as a Mammoth defenseman. His career totals in 302 career games, he has scored 30 goals and 114 assists for 144 points with the Kings and Arizona Coyotes before moving to Utah.
Cole Beaudoin was drafted by the Mammoth in the 2024 NHL Draft. He served as captain during the 2025-26 season with the Barrie Colts of the Ontario Hockey League (OHL). He recorded career highs in goals with 33 and assists with 55 for a total of 88 points, spending four seasons with the club, and was a part of the last two World Junior Championship tournaments with Team Canada.
The New York Rangers made a big trade, sending Vincent Trocheck to the Mammoth during their offseason retooling.
