The NBA League Office has ruled at 9:24 PM Eastern that Victor Wembanyama’s actions against New York Knicks Guard Jalen Brunson will not have a retroactive Flagrant 1 Foul after he put his hands on Brunson’s head and threw him down to the court. The foul that the referees initially did not call in the first quarter of Game 3 was reviewed all day and left unaddressed until the announcement that evening. Wembanyama has already earned two flagrant points earlier in the 2026 NBA Playoffs with his right arm swinging at Naz Reid of the Minnesota Timberwolves and connecting with him on the head and neck. That review gave him an upgrade from a Flagrant one to a Flagrant two.
