The Confederation of North America, Central America, and the Caribbean (CONCACAF) conducted its draw for the 2026 U-20 tournament, as they will play their matches in Mexico, declaring a winner for the 2027 FIFA U-20 World Cup, and joining the United States in the 2028 Summer Olympic Games held in Los Angeles. 12 National Teams were drawn to three groups of four and will make an attempt to advance to the knockout stages to be crowned the kings of the Confederation in the U-20 age group.
At the CONCACAF Offices in downtown Miami, on a Thursday afternoon had four points with three teams each, drawn to battle in the group stage, then advance to the knockout stage, which will be played in three stadiums in Mexico. The Estadio Universitario Buap, the Estadio Cuauhtémoc in Puebla, and the Estadio Banorte in Mexico City. The dates for the tournament are from July 24th through August 9th, after the 2026 FIFA World Cup ends in the middle of July.
GROUP A: USA, CUBA, EL SALVADOR, HAITI
GROUP B: MEXICO, GUATEMALA, COSTA RICA, ANTIGUA & BARBUDA
GROUP C: HONDURAS, PANAMA, CANADA, JAMAICA
The four Semi-Finalists will automatically advance to the 2027 FIFA World Cup. For the lone Olympic spot, if the USA is in the final, then their opponents will automatically advance to the 2028 Summer Games; if the USA gets eliminated early, then the final will be up for grabs. This should be a great tournament, and hopefully, we will see the next great National Team stars for the senior side down the road.
