West Point, N.Y. — The Army West Point men’s basketball team (7-8, 1-1 Patriot League) saw its four-game win streak snapped in a hard-fought 76-69 loss to Colgate (8-7, 2-0) at Christl Arena. The defeat marked Army’s first Patriot League loss of the season and moved Colgate’s all-time series lead to 77-65 over the Black Knights.
Curry’s Career Night Not Enough
Junior guard Ryan Curry delivered a standout performance for the second straight game, scoring a team-high 24 points on 7-of-13 shooting, including 6-of-9 from beyond the arc, tying his career-best for threes. Curry also led Army with seven assists and four rebounds.
Forward Tate Laczkowski matched career-highs with 11 points (5-of-7 FG) and eight rebounds, while Jaxson Bell added nine points and eight rebounds off the bench. Army also got contributions from Kevin McCarthy (seven points, four rebounds, three assists) and Jackson Furman (seven points, three assists).

Game Flow
The teams traded leads 17 times and were tied on eight occasions in a tightly contested first half, which ended with Colgate holding a slim 35-34 advantage. Army briefly took a 50-47 lead early in the second half, sparked by Curry’s hot shooting, but Colgate responded with an 11-0 run to build its largest lead at 58-50.
Army rallied late, cutting the deficit to three on multiple occasions, including a deep three from Curry in the final minute, but Colgate sealed the win at the free-throw line. The Black Knights were hampered by 18 turnovers and left nine points at the free-throw line (11-of-20 FT).
