Army Men’s Basketball Shows Grit in Overtime Win at Lehigh, Six in Double Figures

Army West Point men’s basketball (7-7, 1-0) closed out 2025 in thrilling fashion, earning a gutsy 85–78 overtime victory against Lehigh to open Patriot League play. The Black Knights extended their win streak to four, capped off a 4-1 December, and improved to 3-0 in overtime games this season.

This win showcased Army’s resilience and depth, with six players scoring in double digits—the most this season. Junior Ryan Curry led the charge with a career night, posting his first double-double: 19 points, a career-high 14 rebounds, plus three assists and two steals. Curry’s relentless play set the tone for a team that refused to back down.

Army’s balanced attack featured big contributions from Jackson Furman (15 pts, 7 rebs, 4 ast), Jacen Holloway (13 pts), Jaxson Bell (12 pts, 8 rebs, 2 blks), Tate Laczkowski (11 pts, 8 rebs, 4 ast), and Jorn Everson (10 pts). The game was a battle from the start, with Army building leads behind tough defense and efficient offense. Lehigh rallied late, but Army’s composure at the line and clutch execution in overtime sealed the win. Bell and Furman delivered key free throws down the stretch, while Curry, Holloway, and Laczkowski made big plays in critical moments.

Army’s grit was evident in every possession—diving for loose balls, crashing the boards, and answering every Lehigh run. The Black Knights scored 38 points in the paint, dominated second-chance opportunities, and outscored Lehigh 17–10 in overtime.

With the victory, Army leads the all-time series 71–48 and has now won four straight inside Stabler Arena. The win also marks the first conference opener victory since 2022.
