WEST POINT, N.Y. — Army West Point football fans have plenty to look forward to in 2026, as the Black Knights unveiled a marquee nonconference matchup at Louisiana Tech alongside their full slate of American Conference opponents.
Black Knights to Face Louisiana Tech in Historic Road Trip
Army will open a new chapter in its rivalry with Louisiana Tech on October 3, 2026, when the Black Knights travel to Ruston for their first-ever game at the Bulldogs’ home stadium. The two programs have met three times before, with Army holding a perfect 3–0 record, including a dominant 27–6 win in the 2024 Independence Bowl that capped a 12–2 season. The home-and-home series will see Louisiana Tech visit Michie Stadium in 2035, their first trip to West Point since 2008.

American Conference Unveils 2026 Opponents
The American Conference has also announced its new scheduling model, set to debut in 2026. Army’s conference lineup features a balanced mix of home and away games, promising fresh matchups and renewed rivalries:
Home Games at Michie Stadium:
- East Carolina
- Florida Atlantic
- South Florida (first meeting since Army joined the league)
- Tulane
Home Game at MetLife Stadium:
- Navy
Road Games:
- Memphis (first league meeting)
- Rice
- Temple
- Tulsa
The 2026 season will mark the league’s third in its 14-team format, with each team playing eight conference games—four at home, four on the road. The scheduling model ensures no duplicate venues from 2025 to 2026 and mandates at least one road trip to both the Eastern and Central time zones, plus a Texas visit every two years.
