Bloomington, IN — Army West Point Wrestling showed grit on the road Saturday, claiming four out of ten bouts against No. 24 Indiana but ultimately fell short, 26-14, as the Hoosiers pulled away in the back half of the dual.
The Black Knights came out swinging, with Charlie Farmer opening at 125 lbs before Indiana’s Jacob Moran secured a technical fall. Army quickly responded: Jake Crapps, making his debut dual appearance after transferring from Missouri, delivered a decisive 7-2 victory at 133 lbs. Braden Basile followed up with a hard-fought 5-4 decision over Indiana’s Henry Porter at 141 lbs, giving Army an early edge.
Indiana regained momentum at 149 lbs, with Joey Buttler earning a major decision over Mason Barvitskie. Freshman standout Joseph Antonio continued his impressive campaign, knotting the dual at 9-9 with a composed 6-2 win over Bryce Lowery at 157 lbs.

The tide turned in Indiana’s favor as the Hoosiers swept the next four weight classes, highlighted by a pin at 165 lbs and a trio of dominant major decisions. Army’s Brady Colbert capped the night with a statement performance at heavyweight, notching a technical fall over Caleb Marzolino in just over three minutes.
Despite the loss, Army’s young squad demonstrated resilience and flashes of potential against a ranked Big Ten opponent. The Black Knights now move to 0-3 on the season, with all matches coming against nationally competitive programs.
