The 2026 Field is set across the Confederation
Miami, FL- The 27 Team field is set for the 2026 CONCACAF Champions Cup Draw on Tuesday, December 9th, as the Confederation of North America, Central America, and the Caribbean will will place teams from the USA, Canada, Mexico, countries from Central America nad the Caribbean to battle each other for the right to be called Club Champions of the region. The winner will be eligible for the next FIFA Club World Cup.
Round of 16 setup
After winning the 2025 MLS Cup Final, Inter Miami advanced to the Round of 16 brackets of the tournament, as they will be joined by the 20925 Leagues Cup Champions Seattle Sounders. Central American Champions LD Alajulense of Costa Rica, Caribbean Cup Champions Mount Pleasant of Jamaica, and Deportivo Toluca of Liga MX, with the highest aggregate of points in both Apertura and Clausura Winners.
Deportivo Toluca will be placed in the first match-up in the Round of 16 as the highest-ranked club, Inter Miami will be placed in the fifth match-up as the second highest-ranked club, Seattle Sounders will be placed in the eighth match-up as the third highest-ranked club, LD Alajulense will be placed in the fourth match-up as the fourth highest-ranked club, and finally, Mount Pleasant will be placed in the second match-up as the fifth highest-ranked club.
Clubs in Pots and Ranked clubs placed
Three Liga MX clubs, which are the highest-ranked clubs in CONCACAF, have been placed in three positions already in the first round. In A3, Cruz Azul is the highest-ranked club, in A9, Tigres UANL is the second-highest-ranked club, and in A7, Club America is the third-highest-ranked club.
The rest of the highest-ranked clubs will be out of Pot 1. Vancouver Whitecaps (CAN), Los Angeles FC (USA), CF Monterrey (MEX), Philadelphia Union (USA), FC Cincinnati (USA), Los Angeles Galaxy (USA), Nashville SC (USA), and Pumas UNAM
In Pot 2, the next eleven lowest-ranked clubs will be placed and selected to compete with the opponents from Pot A. These are the clubs selected from Pot 2. San Diego FC (USA), Club Olimpia (HON), Hamilton Forge FC (CAN), Atletico Ottawa (CAN), CS Cartagines (CRC), CSD Xelaju (GUA), Sporting San Miguelito (PAN), Real Espana (HON), Defense Force (TRI), Vancouver FC (CAN), O&M FC (DOM).
Placement pots
All clubs from the highest-ranked section will be drawn from Pot 1, while their positions on the First Round bracket will be drawn from Pot A. All clubs from the lowest-ranked section will be drawn from Pot 2, while their positions on the first round bracket will come from Pot B. The winners will face each other in the Round of 16, along with the top five clubs that won their respective championships.

All matches will be performed in a two-legged series using the goal aggregate system, with away goals to help with the aggregate ending in a draw. When the best two sides meet in the Championship Final, it will be a one-legged final at the club with the better point totals. The Draw will be broadcast on YouTube or CONCACAF’s Television Network Partners at 7 PM Eastern – 4 PM Pacific.
Next Season, it gets real in the entire month of February 2026 for the Continental Confederation championship for the best club in the region.
