Friday Night: Huskies and Terriers Deadlocked in Storrs
STORRS, CT – No. 7 UConn women’s hockey and Boston University played to a 1–1 tie at Toscano Family Ice Forum, with BU taking the shootout for an extra Hockey East point. The Huskies (12-3-2, 5-1-1 HEA) outshot the Terriers 44-42 and controlled the faceoff circle (30-19), but both goaltenders starred—Tia Chan racking up 43 saves for UConn, her third straight 40+ save game.
BU struck first with a shorthanded goal midway through the second, but UConn answered late in the period. Claire Murdoch buried the equalizer off feeds from Ashley Allard and Sadie Hotles. The third period and overtime saw both teams generate chances, but neither could break the deadlock. In the shootout, BU edged UConn 2-1.

BOSTON, Mass. – Dec. 6, 2025 — The Huskies closed the series with a dramatic 3-2 win at Walter Brown Arena, capped by Meghane Duchesne-Chalifoux’s game-winning goal with 7.3 seconds left.
