New York, NY- The New York Rangers, trying to solve their scoring issues at Madison Square Garden, have called up young, exciting prospect Gabe Perreault from the Hartford Wolf Pack of the American Hockey League, and hopefully, he will be in the lineup for their home game against the Nashville Predators.
The Rangers have sent down Jaroslav Chmelar. The hope is to finally start scoring goals at home and attempt to get wins to improve their season. Perreault, a two-time World Junior Championships winner with USA Hockey, is a former product of Boston College. Spent the start of the season down in Hartford, scored five goals and five assists for ten points in nine games.
He will now join fellow rookie Noah Laba on the Rangers, as both players excelled during training camp and preseason. Scored two goals and two assists in six games. “I think I’ve been playing well. I think it was really good for me to go down there, play a lot of minutes, work on a lot of little things I needed to work on, and hopefully it’ll translate,” said Gabe Perreault.
