Rangers sign their fifth-rounder of the 2024 draft to an entry-level deal
New York, NY- New York Rangers President and General Manager Chris Drury has signed Forward Nathan Aspinall to a three-year entry-level deal. This season, the 6-7″ 19-year-old is currently with his junior team, the Flint Firebirds of the Ontario Hockey League (OHL), and he’s already tearing it up in six games, scoring six goals and four assists for 10 points. He leads the Firebirds in goals and points this season.
2024-25 Stats in Juniors
Last season, he notched 17 goals, 30 assists, for a total of 47 points. He ranked second on the team with four power play goals, Third in points, and fourth in goals and assists. After the end of his OHL Season last year, he went to the Rangers’ American Hockey League (AHL) Affiliate Hartford Wolf Pack, on an amateur tryout.
Junior Hockey career
In four seasons with Flint, Aspinall has collected 42 goals, 53 assists for a total of 95 points. In the 2023-24 season, Aspinall posted a career high of 65 games played and scored 18 goals in the OHL. He was the 159th overall pick in the fifth round of the 2024 NLH Draft.
