Trying for their elusive first win of the season in Jlly Ole England
London, England- The New York Jets flew across the Atlantic Ocean, as they returned to the Tottenham Hotspurs Football (Soccer) Stadium to face the Denver Broncos as the home team in Week six of the 2025 NFL Season. They know they need to have a flawless game or close to it to get out of this losing streak and turn their fortunes around in a hurry.
Back from the injury list
Edge Rusher Jermaine Johnson and Running Back/Kickoff Returner Kene Nwangwu are back and ready to go. A sight for sore eyes as the defense now has one of their big edge rushers to help out Will McDonald and Quinnen Williams get to Bo Nix. The kickoffs will have a familiar face with Nwangwu returning to the field for special teams.
Denver is off to a good year
The Denver Broncos are off to a strong start with a 3-2 record and are tied in the AFC West for first place with the Los Angeles Chargers, but the Chargers are 3-0 in the Division in the tiebreaker. Still, the Broncos, who played the Jets last season at MetLife Stadium, will do it again this time over in London.
“We’re looking forward to going out and playing a really good game, all right, against Denver, against a good quality opponent. And we’re all looking forward to that—coaches, players alike— to go out there and put on a good showing for our So again, we’re looking forward to it,” said Aaron Glenn
The chatter is loud
This season hasn’t gone the way Aaron Glenn thought it would. Many people around the league and Jets fans have started to scream against him for how the team has played after their week one game against the Steelers. They must find a way to dig themselves out of their hole quickly.
“All the things that we talk about, we need to get better at. I thought there was another week of us actually doing that, so we’re looking forward to playing this game. And again, I understand everything that’s going on is about who we are, what we’ve done, and what we’re all about. But to me, it’s the focus of making sure that we improve. And that’s what we’re all about right now.”
Glenn is talking to his coaches
Glenn continues to talk to his coaches about the issues that continue to plague the Jets. Missed assignments, missed tackles, the fumbling issues, and not getting into the end zone during the first three quarters of the game. He is aware of the problems that continue to plague the Jets.
‘We know we have a good opponent that we’re going against, but there’s some things internally that we have to fix when it comes to ball protection, penalties, defense, offense, man, making sure we score. Listen, I love getting three, I do, man, but I want seven. And when it comes to defense, man, we wanna force them to kick three.
Hopefully, they don’t allow them to get down there, but we’re not trying to give up seven. And all those things, we’re really digging hard into them to make sure that we do the right things to get that done, and it’s time. It’s time for us to get those things done. So this week was a really good week, and we’ll finish up the day in the red zone so we actually go through those things.”
The defense needs to fix its problems
In all of their games, the defense has been a disgrace. They haven’t had more than a sack since the first game, and they continue to give up yards and touchdowns. Quinnen Williams continues to stand up to the microphone and informs the media that they are the reason they are losing the games.
Defensive Coordinator Steve Wilks talked to the media about the issues that have plagued his defense.
“Hey, everything’s on me in regards to, you know, trying to put guys in position where we can create one-on-ones across the board. And those are things that we’ve talked about, things that we’re trying to do, trying to find a matchup. And that’s what this league is all about. You know, it’s trying to find the right matchup, and I got to do a great job from ’95 to 9 in getting these guys in position where they can go execute because they’re very talented guys that we know that can perform at a high level,” said Steve Wilks.
One win will change things
Aaron Glenn knows that if they do get the win, it can change their fortunes around. He knows he has to get a complete performance and do the right things to finally turn this season around and have a positive feeling. But they must get that win to change things around.
“We just need one. And once we get one, we’ll get this thing going right where we need to. And I understand everything that’s been going on with us, but I have all the confidence in the world that we’ll get this thing going,” said Glenn.
