Jamaica scored early and kept its foot on the gas to take three points on the road
North Shore Village, BER- The Reggae Boys traveled to face Bermuda in their opening match in the Final Round of CONCACAF FIFA World Cup Qualifying at the National Sports Centre Stadium. Sadly for the hosts, this was a no-contest as they were thoroughly taken to the woodshed and looked helpless as Jamaica defeated their hosts by a final score of four goals to nil.

Early goal off a scramble
Jamaica earned a corner, and it was taken at the near side. Kasey Palmer went to the flag, then he delivered it to the Bermuda area, where the shot was blocked, and the ball pinballed around between the attackers and defenders until it was finally shot into the net by Defender Damion Lowe in the 6th minute.
Staying with the ball and scoring
Jamaica continued its strong play, attacking the Bermuda net. The ball was played along the far side, making the attacking run was Renaldo Cephas. As he entered the area, he lost the ball. But he quickly retrieved it, and when he got to the ball, Cephas took a quick turnaround shot and beat the keeper inside the front post in the 20th minute.

Another individual effort for a Jamaican Attacker
After a full ten minutes had passed in the second half, Jamaica was very hungry for a third goal, and they got it. As the ball was going down the near side, Jonathan Russell passed the ball ahead toward Palmer, then he attacked with two to three defenders in front of him. As he cut toward his right, he took a big shot and scored inside the far post in the 56th minute.

Last goal of the night was a thing of beauty
The Final tally of the night came in the final minute of regulation as Jamaica earned another corner. Taking the corner was Ronaldo Romario Webster. When he delivered the ball towards the middle of the Bermuda area, A beautiful snap header was struck by Shamar Nicholson and surprised the keeper, putting it just below the crossbar at the far side in the 90th minute.
While Jamaica was without starting goalkeeper Andre Blake due to injury, their starter, Jahmali Waite, wasn’t bothered at all. Most of Bermuda’s attacks weren’t strong, and Jamaica’s defenders made sure they weren’t bothered at all on the night. Right now, Jamaica leads in Group B and waits to see what happens between Trinidad & Tobago hosting Curacao.
