MEMPHIS, Tenn. — The NFL’s longest-running fan-voted awards program is getting a meaningful upgrade this season. FedEx announced a groundbreaking partnership with Feeding America, connecting player performance with community support.
Expanded Recognition Format
For the second consecutive year, the awards will celebrate outstanding players across four positions. Moreover, this broader approach reflects the dynamic nature of modern NFL offenses.
“The NFL is always evolving, and so are we,” said Jenny Robertson, senior vice president of Global Brand and Communications at FedEx. Consequently, the program now recognizes more game-changing players who drive the sport forward.
How It Works
Each week after Sunday Night Football, six players will be nominated across four positions:
- Quarterbacks
- Running backs
- Wide receivers
- Tight ends
Fans can vote through multiple channels, including:
- NFL.com/FedEx
- NFL Mobile App
- X (formerly Twitter) at @NFL
Community Impact Initiative
Furthermore, the Feeding America partnership transforms the awards into a powerful charitable platform. In fact, every Player of the Week honor will trigger a donation to a local food bank in the winning player’s city.
“We believe everyone deserves access to nutritious food,” said Lauren Biedron from Feeding America. Additionally, this partnership leverages NFL fans’ passion to support families in need.

Program History and Future
Since 2003, the FedEx Air & Ground NFL Awards has donated nearly $3 million to various nonprofits. Now, the Feeding America collaboration extends this impact directly to NFL markets nationwide.
The season will culminate with the Players of the Year announcement at NFL Honors, preceding Super Bowl LX in the San Francisco Bay Area.
League Partnership
The NFL sees this as more than just an awards program. Indeed, it represents a meaningful connection between athletic excellence and community support.
“We’re proud to continue our partnership with FedEx,” said Tracie Rodburg, NFL Senior Vice President of Global Partnerships. Notably, their commitment aligns perfectly with the league’s values of recognizing talent and investing in communities.
Looking Forward
This enhanced program demonstrates how corporate partnerships can create significant social impact. By connecting fan engagement with community support, FedEx and the NFL are transforming weekly recognition into lasting change.
