The Wide Receiver will be suspended for a month and a half for Code of Conduct Violations
New York, NY- The National Football League has suspended Kansas City Chiefs wide Receiver Rashee Rice for six games for violating the NFL’s Code of Conduct, and he will be suspended without pay. He was involved in a high-speed car crash in March 2024, in which he was driving over 119 mph, losing control, and causing a chain reaction with six other vehicles.
The incident happened in Dallas
From NBC Affiliate KXAS in the Dallas/Fort Worth area, it was reported that Rice, along with his former SMU College Football Teammate Teddy Knox, who was in the Corvette, injured four people during the six-car crash and was sentenced to 30 days in jail and five years’ probation.
Suspended for Six Games
With this suspension of Rashee Rice, he will miss the first six games of the regular season, including matchups against the Los Angeles Chargers at Corinthians Arena in Sao Paulo, Brazil, in Week 1. Week 2 Home Opener against the Philadelphia Eagles, Week 3 at the New York Giants on Sunday Night Football, Week 4 at home against the Baltimore Ravens, Week 5 on the road at the Jacksonville Jaguars, and Week 6 at home against the Detroit Lions
Rice’s suspension will end on October 13th, as he will be eligible for the Chiefs’ home game against the AFC West Division Rivals, the Las Vegas Raiders, in Week 7 at Arrowhead Stadium.
