Washington, D.C. (07/19/2023) – The Washington Spirit will host its first watch party of the 2023 FIFA Women’s World Cup this Friday at 9 p.m. EDT at The Bullpen in Navy Yard when the U.S. Women’s National Team (#USWNT) takes on Vietnam in the team’s opening match of this summer’s international tournament.
Spirit goalkeeper Aubrey Kingsbury, midfielders Ashley Sanchez, and Andi Sullivan, and forward Trinity Rodman can be seen in action Friday night in the opening match of the USWNT’s latest World Cup title defense campaign.
In addition to the on-pitch action, Friday night’s watch party will feature giveaways, drink specials, exclusive early access to new limited edition Spirit merchandise, and an appearance by fan-favorite Spirit player Anna Heilferty.
Open to the public, those looking to attend are encouraged to RSVP here. With over 500 soccer fans already expected to attend Friday night’s viewing event, DC’s four USWNT representatives will be well-supported.
