Julian Hall Earns New Extension from Red Bulls

Red Bull New York has officially awarded homegrown striker Julian Hall a new extension to remain with the club till the end of the 2029-30 MLS season, and they used an Under-22 designation to make this signing possible. After starting back in 2023, he has played sporadically as a substitute, then spot-started till he broke out this season and scored nine goals (twelve in all competitions) with five assists.

“Julian has become an important part of our first team, and we believe he will continue to play a significant role for us,” Head of Sport Julian de Guzman said. “He has earned the trust of his teammates and coaching staff through his performances, his mentality and the way he continues to grow. This new contract reflects how highly we value Julian and the role we see him playing for our club.”

In the four seasons he’s been with the senior side, Hall has played a total of 56 matches, with 18 this season. He became the youngest player in MLS history to score a hat trick against the Columbus Crew at Sports Illustrated Stadium. He scored his first MLS goal, scoring the tying goal away at CF Montreal to save a point back in 2024. This season, he’s had three multi-goal games. He began this season with two goals in the season opener at Orlando City, and a two-goal game against the Pittsburgh Riverhounds in the third round of the U.S. Open Cup, then the hat trick against Columbus.

“I’m really happy to sign a new contract with Red Bull New York,” Hall said. “This club has been a huge part of my development, and I’m grateful for everyone who has believed in me and helped me get to this point. I feel like I’m continuing to grow as a player, and I’m excited to keep working, keep improving, and help this team achieve our goals.”

Red Bull New York has said they wanted to go with the youth movement, and right now they have solidified their intent by keeping Hall for another four years. When the League makes the move toward the International Calendar schedule and plays their games like the rest of the world, this is the move the club wanted to make and continue on to give young academy players their chance at the professional level.
