Current CBS Sports NFL Analyst and former Dallas Cowboys quarterback Tony Romo is on leave from CBS this season after he was arrested back on July 23rd in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, for operating a motor vehicle while intoxicated. He was pulled over as Milwaukee police saw an open container of alcohol inside his car, and he failed to complete sobriety tests, as he refused to take a breathalyzer at the traffic stop. CBS Sports has moved J.J. Watt from Ian Eagle and has paired him with Jim Nantz and sideline reporter Tracy Wolfson until Romo returns.
This would’ve been Romo’s 10th season working for CBS covering the NFL as part of the number one broadcast crew. He began in 2017, right away recognizing which offensive play was being called by either team. From that point on, he remained a strong analyst and called Super Bowls when CBS aired them. He retired from the Dallas Cowboys in the same season.
