Spain Edges Portugal in Stoppage Time, Advances to the Quarterfinals

This was the match you felt one of these two teams was good enough to advance, but also wasn’t at full strength to dominate a game. Portugal and Spain were trading chances every time they had the ball and making runs to threaten the net every time they had possession. When many thought this match was going into extra time, that one magical moment finally came, and it was just inside the beginning of second half stoppage time. It finally happened as Spain got the moment to take the victory and advance to the Quarterfinals as they defeated Portugal by the final score of one goal to nil.

The Winner inside second half stoppage time

The fourth official posted six minutes of second half stoppage time on his board as the match was deadlocked. Spain had possession of the ball until a foul was committed in the midfield.
