The New York Rangers have made a trade with the Vegas Golden Knights, giving draft capital in exchange for forward Pavel Dorofeyev, then signing him to a seven-year, $77 million contract with an average annual value (AAV) of just $11 million per season. The Rangers sent Vegas their other 2026 First Round Pick at #26, a third-round pick #92 in this draft, and a conditional first-round pick in the 2028 NHL Draft.
In the 2025-26 Season for Vegas, Dorofeyev has played 00 games, scoring 37 goals, 20 of them on the power play, and 27 assists for 64 points. In five seasons with the Vegas Golden Knights, Dorofeyev has played 231 games, scoring 92 goals and 57 assists for 149 points and a +11. He was also effective during the Golden Knights’ playoff run last season, reaching the Stanley Cup Finals against the Carolina Hurricanes.
