After a big season-opening match, Julian Hall gets recognized for his performance in Orlando.
On Monday afternoon, the North American Soccer Reporters agreed to award Red Bull New York’s Julian Hall for his first match performance at Orlando City with two goals in the first half that led to a two-to-one victory. the 17 year old, he became fifth player in MLS history to score multiple goals in a game at the age of 17 years or younger. Hall also became the third youngest player in franchise history at 17 years and 334 daysold.
Hall scored in the eighth minute with a great pass from Emil Forsberg standing in front of the net onside, waiting for him to pass the ball after faking out the Orlando City Goalkeeper, Maxime Crepeau. His second goal of the match came in the 40th minute when Adri Mehmeti broke through the scrum and made the quick pass, and Hall deflected the ball inside the roof of the net. Hall, along with Adri Mehmeti, made the Team of the Matchday for the first week of the new season.
