Allisha Gray and Breanna Stewart delivered career performances, combining for 68 points as Mist BC cruised past Lunar Owls BC 92-73 at Sephora Arena in Miami. Their total marked the second-highest scoring output by any duo in the league this season, underscoring just how rare the night was. The win lifted the Mist to 8-4 on the season, while the Lunar Owls fell to 3-9.
How It Happened
Mist BC raced out to a 10-2 lead, with Stewart scoring eight quick points and finishing with 15 in the first quarter. But as the quarter wore on and the Mist’s pace slowed, the Lunar Owls’ bench leapt to its feet, sensing a shift. The arena crowd roared to life when Skylar Diggins fired a no-look pass through traffic for an easy layup, sparking an 11-0 run that left Mist players glancing at each other in stunned silence. The Owls’ energy rippled across the court, their shooting and movement suddenly crisp as they clawed their way back into the contest.
Even with that surge, Gray and Stewart set the tone early—the Mist’s dynamic duo outscored the entire Lunar Owls roster 23-13 in the opening period.
Despite trailing by as many as 18, Lunar Owls BC responded with a furious second-quarter rally, taking a brief 47-46 lead late in the half behind Diggins’ 10 points and six assists. Mist BC regained momentum by switching to a press defense after a timeout, forcing two quick turnovers that disrupted the Owls’ rhythm and set up a decisive 6-0 spurt heading into the break. Mist BC closed the half up 52-47.
The Mist asserted control in the third, outscoring the Owls 28-18, led by Stewart and Gray, who scored the team’s first 13 points of the period. Arike Ogunbowale added seven points in the fourth, including a signature stepback jumper that served as the final dagger, sealing the 19-point victory.

Both teams were effective from beyond the arc, with Mist BC connecting on nearly 43 percent (9-for-21), while the Lunar Owls were close behind at just over 40 percent (11-for-27). At the free-throw line, both teams were perfect, each going 100 percent.
Mist BC also dominated the glass, pulling down 34 rebounds to the Lunar Owls’ 25, which helped control the tempo and limit second-chance opportunities. The Lunar Owls shared the ball well and finished with 20 assists, outpacing Mist BC’s 16, but it didn’t translate into enough efficient scoring chances to keep pace. Turnovers were even, with both teams committing eight apiece.
