The preparations for Canada’s World Cup Campaign start right now
Toronto, ON- Canadian Men’s National Team Head Coach Jesse Marsch announced the twenty-man roster for their upcoming 10-day camp, including a friendly match against Guatemala at BMO Stadium in downtown Los Angeles. As this match falls outside the designated FIFA International window, Canada had to coordinate with different clubs, as the majority of those players at European-based clubs will not be available.

Length and coaching squad
The length of the January camp will begin on Thursday, January 8th, till Sunday, January 18th. The match against Guatemala will be on Saturday, January 17th. Jesse Marsch will have other coaches join his staff for this current camp. Joining Mauro Biello, Ewan Sharp & Yianna Michelis will be Cavalry FC Head coach Tommy Wheeldon Jr., Simcoe County Rovers FC Sporting Director Doneil Henry, Atletico Ottawa goalkeeper coach Romuald Peise, and NVFC Norvan FC Head Coach Andrew Peat will join the technical staff.

The match will be broadcast on One Soccer and available on the Fubo TV Canada Platform as a linear channel on Telus’s Optik TV (Channel 980), and streaming online at OneSoccer.ca and the One Soccer app.
Roster Update
On Thursday, January 8th, Canada Soccer has updated its Roster for their January Camp, as Jacob Shaffelburg has been replaced by Malik Henry due to the announcement by his club side, LAFC, informing Canada that Shaffelburg will undergo surgery to address a Degenerative Condition.
