WEST POINT, NY — Army West Point Football’s postseason success was recognized on the national stage as freshman running back Godspower Nwawuihe and senior offensive lineman Will Jeffcoat earned spots on the Associated Press All-Bowl Team, following their electrifying performances in the Black Knights’ 41-16 rout of UConn at the Wasabi Fenway Bowl on December 27.

Godspower Nwawuihe: Explosive Freshman, Historic Run

Making a name for himself in just his first season, Godspower Nwawuihe delivered one of the most jaw-dropping bowl performances in Army history:

• 171 rushing yards on just 12 carries (14.3 yards per attempt)
• 2 touchdowns (43 yards, 70 yards)
• The 70-yard touchdown run was the second-longest in Army Black Knights bowl history, electrifying Fenway Park and putting Nwawuihe’s name in the record books.

Nwawuihe’s blend of power and breakaway speed left UConn defenders grasping at air, and his performance set the tone for Army’s dominant ground attack.
