Senior Brigid Duffy claims Offensive Player of the Year; Freshman Sophia Henry earns Rookie of the Year as Black Knights tie program record with conference-best eight all-conference selections
BETHLEHEM, Pa. – Army West Point women’s soccer has established itself as the Patriot League’s premier program, earning a conference-leading eight All-Patriot League honors announced Friday, Oct. 31. The Black Knights are led by two major award winners: senior midfielder Brigid Duffy, who claimed Offensive Player of the Year, and freshman forward Sophia Henry, who secured Rookie of the Year honors.
The eight selections tie a program record last achieved in 2020 and represent the most from any single team in the conference this season—a testament to the depth, talent, and leadership that defines Army West Point women’s soccer under Head Coach Tracy Chao.
Duffy Delivers Historic Senior Campaign
Brigid Duffy, a senior from Queensbury, N.Y., has been the driving force behind Army’s offensive success throughout the 2025 season. The midfielder becomes the first Black Knight since Erynn Jones in 2020 to earn Patriot League Offensive Player of the Year accolades and the fifth in program history.
Duffy’s dominance is reflected in the numbers: she leads the Patriot League in goals (13), points (27), shots (77), and game-winning goals (7). Her seven game-winners lead the entire nation, while her goal and shot totals rank in the top 10 nationally.
The New York native has now earned All-Patriot League honors in three consecutive seasons, a remarkable achievement that underscores her consistency, leadership, and elite-level performance. She was named Patriot League Offensive Player of the Week twice this season, further cementing her status as one of the conference’s most dangerous offensive weapons.
“Brigid has been the heartbeat of our offense all season,” said a program spokesperson. “Her ability to create scoring opportunities, finish in crucial moments, and lead by example has been instrumental to our success.”
Henry Makes Immediate Impact as Freshman Phenom
Sophia Henry, a freshman from Springfield, Va., wasted no time making her mark on the Patriot League. The dynamic forward earned Rookie of the Year honors after a spectacular debut season that saw her accumulate nine goals—leading all conference newcomers and ranking second in the Patriot League behind only teammate Brigid Duffy.
Henry becomes the second consecutive Black Knight to win the award, following current sophomore Bella Conti’s selection a year ago, and the sixth in program history. Her nine goals included two braces, and she finished the season with 20 points and one game-winning goal.
The Virginia native was named Patriot League Rookie of the Week on six occasions, breaking the single-season record set by Army West Point’s Kimberly An in 2010. Her immediate impact and ability to perform in high-pressure situations have made her one of the most exciting young players in the conference.
“Sophia’s freshman campaign has been nothing short of exceptional,” the program noted. “Her composure, skill, and goal-scoring instinct are well beyond her years, and she’s only going to get better.”

First Team Standouts: Follenweider Anchors Defense
Joining Duffy and Henry on the Patriot League First Team is senior defender Jordan Follenweider from Jacksonville, Fla. The veteran back-line anchor has been a cornerstone of Army’s defensive success, starting in every game she was eligible to appear in and accumulating 1,403 minutes on the pitch.
Follenweider was named Patriot League Defensive Player of the Week three times this season, helping Army secure five shutouts—all coming in Patriot League victories. Her defensive prowess was complemented by offensive contributions, including a game-winning goal at Central Connecticut and two assists, one of which came in the Star Match against Navy.
“Jordan’s leadership and consistency on the back line have been invaluable,” the program said. “She’s the type of defender who makes everyone around her better.”

Second Team Excellence: Conti and Pohlidal Shine
Two Black Knights earned Second Team All-Patriot League honors: sophomore midfielder Bella Conti from Allentown, N.J., and sophomore forward Grace Pohlidal from Edina, Minn.
Bella Conti
Despite missing the first month of the season due to injury, Conti made an immediate impact upon her return, appearing in 12 games and finishing with seven assists—tied for the team lead. The New Jersey native has now earned All-Patriot League honors in both of her seasons at West Point, a remarkable achievement that speaks to her talent and resilience.
Conti secured two games with two assists in Patriot League matches, playing a crucial role in Army’s 11 regular-season wins. Her vision, passing ability, and soccer IQ make her one of the most dangerous playmakers in the conference.
Grace Pohlidal
Pohlidal enjoyed a breakout sophomore campaign, accumulating four goals and one assist while playing and starting in all 18 matches for the Black Knights. Her four goals rank fourth on the team, and she logged 1,406 minutes on the pitch.
The Minnesota native delivered her most memorable performance in the Star Match against arch-rival Navy on Oct. 10, scoring both of Army’s goals in a crucial victory. Her ability to perform in high-stakes games and her tireless work rate have made her an indispensable part of Army’s attack.
Third Team Depth: Rogers, Silvestro, and West Round Out Selections
Three additional Black Knights earned Third Team All-Patriot League honors, showcasing the depth and talent throughout Army’s roster.
Sabrina Rogers
The junior forward from Brentwood, Calif., appeared and started in all 18 games, logging 1,273 minutes. She netted five goals with two assists for 12 points, including her first career brace against Maine on Aug. 31—with the second goal coming in the 90th minute.
Rogers is fourth among all Black Knights with 31 shots and scored her first game-winning goal at Lafayette on Oct. 18. Her ability to create scoring chances and finish in critical moments has made her a key contributor to Army’s offensive success.
Cami Silvestro
Senior midfielder Cami Silvestro from Voorhees, N.J., earned her third consecutive Patriot League Third Team selection—a testament to her consistency and reliability over her career at West Point. She played in 1,071 minutes across 17 games, scoring two goals and adding three assists for seven points.
Silvestro’s highlight moment came on Oct. 15 when she scored a spectacular long-range goal from well outside the box in a 2-0 victory over Bucknell. She finished the season with 19 shots, eight on net, for a .421 shot-on-goal percentage.
Daisy West
Sophomore defender Daisy West from Fort Montgomery, N.Y., starred on the back line in her first season on the banks of the Hudson River. She was named Patriot League Defensive Player of the Week on Sept. 9 after scoring a goal at Lehigh and taking five shots over two games.
West scored the first goal of the season for the Black Knights at Manhattan on Aug. 17 and added an assist against Navy in the Star Match on Oct. 10. She finished with two goals and 11 shots, showcasing her ability to contribute on both ends of the pitch.
Army’s Dominance in Context
Army’s eight All-Patriot League selections are the most from any team in the conference this season and tie the program record set in 2020. The Black Knights’ representation across all three teams—three First Team, two Second Team, and three Third Team selections—demonstrates the depth, talent, and balanced roster construction that have made Army one of the most formidable programs in the Patriot League.
The Black Knights finished the regular season with an 11-5-2 record, marking the third consecutive season under Head Coach Tracy Chao with at least 10 wins. Army’s success is built on a foundation of discipline, teamwork, and the relentless pursuit of excellence—values that are synonymous with the West Point experience.
Playoff Push Begins
Army will open the Patriot League Postseason as the No. 3 seed and will host No. 6 Loyola Maryland on Sunday, Nov. 2, at Malek Stadium. First touch is scheduled for 1 p.m., and the Black Knights will look to build on their regular-season success with a deep postseason run.
