TALLAHASSEE, FL – The Florida State Seminoles erupted for a historic offensive showcase on Saturday, routing Kent State 66-10 at Doak Campbell Stadium and setting multiple program records in the process.
Offensive Explosion
Florida State’s offense was nothing short of spectacular, amassing a staggering 775 total yards – including a school-record 498 rushing yards. The Seminoles scored touchdowns on eight of their nine possessions, with an unprecedented eight rushing touchdowns that highlighted their dominance.
Key Performers
Quarterback Tommy Castellanos led the charge, completing 10 of 13 passes for 205 yards and adding two rushing touchdowns. Running back Gavin Sawchuk was equally impressive, rushing for 97 yards on 11 carries with two touchdowns.
Wide receiver Micahi Danzy emerged as a standout performer, accumulating 176 total yards in the first quarter alone – including a spectacular 64-yard touchdown run that electrified the home crowd.

Defensive Dominance
The Seminoles’ defense was equally impressive, holding Kent State to just 206 total yards. Defensive back Earl Little Jr. led the defensive effort with four total tackles, while Jerry Wilson added an interception.

The victory marked Florida State’s second consecutive win by more than 50 points – a first in program history. The team converted nine of ten third-down attempts and scored on all eight of their red zone opportunities.
