From Adam Schefter of ESPN, the New York Jets made their second trade of the day with the Minnesota Vikings, as they received Defensive Tackle Harrison Phillips and a 2027 6th Round Pick, and in return, the Jets will send a 2026 6th Round Pick and a 2027 6th Round Pick. Even more special is that the Vikings will pay Phillips half his $7.4 million salary, so the Jets will pay Phillips $3.7 million.
In seven seasons, Harrison Phillips has played for the Buffalo Bills in his first four seasons, the last three with the Vikings. A total of 96 Games, made 148 solo tackles, assisted 166 times for a total of 314 Tackles, with eight sacks and two forced fumbles. The Jets are loading up right now with a lot of depth at the Defensive tackle position. First, it was Jovon Briggs coming over from Cleveland; now it’s Phillips.
