Following that emphatic triumph in Thuringia, fourteen Eagles departed to represent their respective national teams, with Paxten Aaronson remaining the final player on international duty as the United States prepares to face Mexico in the Gold Cup final.

Training Camp Commences

While internationally active players continue their summer commitments, head coach Dino Toppmöller and his coaching staff are set to begin preparations for the 2025/26 season. The Hessians face a tight timeline, with just under six weeks remaining until their first competitive fixture—a DFB Cup first-round encounter against FV Engers 07.

Six days following the cup tie, SGE will welcome SV Werder Bremen to Deutsche Bank Park for their Bundesliga opener.

Week One Schedule

The inaugural week of pre-season preparations follows a structured approach:

Monday-Tuesday: Comprehensive performance assessments will occupy the expected two dozen professionals from morning through evening, providing crucial baseline data for the coaching staff.

Wednesday: The first team training session commences at 11:30 a.m., conducted behind closed doors. EintrachtTV will provide live coverage of the session for supporters unable to attend.

Thursday-Friday: Double training sessions scheduled each day to maximize preparation time.

Saturday: Single morning session before the weekend break.

Sunday: Rest day for player recovery.

Burkardt Presentation Scheduled

Monday’s schedule includes a special highlight: the official presentation of summer signing Jonathan Burkardt will be broadcast live on EintrachtTV starting at 11:30 a.m. The 24-year-old striker recently completed his five-year contract with the club, running until June 30, 2030.

The German international brings significant Bundesliga experience, having scored 18 goals in 29 appearances last season—making him the fourth-highest scorer in the league and the most prolific German goalscorer.

With the DFB Cup clash against FV Engers 07 scheduled for August 17 at Oberwerth stadium in Koblenz, Frankfurt’s preparation phase represents a crucial foundation for their upcoming campaign ambitions.
