With the off-season fully underway after the Florida Panthers lifted Lord Stanley’s Cup a week ago, the New Jersey Devils dropped their preseason schedule for the upcoming 2025-2026 season.
New Jersey will play Metropolitan foes, the New York Rangers (x2), New York Islanders (x2), Washington Capitals, and Philadelphia Flyers, while also playing Brady Tkachuk and the Ottawa Senators on the road during a split-squad game.
The only thing is the Devils won’t be traveling up to the Canadian Tire Center north of the border in the capital. No, instead, the Devils will be making a trip to Quebec City for the first time since playing the Quebec Nordiques in 1995.
The game will be played at Videotron Centre, the home of the QMJHL’s Quebec Remparts in Quebec City, an 18,259-seat arena.
Here’s the full seven-game slate:
- Sunday, Sept. 21 (1:00 p.m. puck drop) vs New York Rangers at Prudential Center
- Tuesday, Sept. 23 (7:00 p.m. puck drop) vs. New York Islanders, Prudential Center
- Friday, Sept. 26 (7:00 p.m. puck drop) @ New York Islanders, UBS Arena
- Sunday, Sept. 28 (3:00 p.m. puck drop) @ Ottawa Senators Videotron Centre, Quebec City, Quebec
- Sunday, Sept 28 (3:00 p.m. puck drop) vs. Washington Capitals, Prudential Center
- Thursday, Oct. 2 (7:00 p.m. puck drop) @ New York Rangers, Madison Square Garden
- Saturday, Oct. 4 (3:00 p.m. puck drop) @ Philadelphia Flyers Wells Fargo Center
The preseason is set to get underway on Wednesday, September 10th, when rookies report to training camp. The rest of the roster will report to camp a week later on Wednesday, September 17th.
