Midfielder Delanie Sheehan has parted ways to pursue opportunities in free agency.

In 2024, she played in every regular-season game, recording 2,105 minutes, 25 starts and two goals. In the 2024 NWSL Playoffs, Sheehan dished out the game-winning assist in the quarterfinals against the Portland Thorns.
The young midfielder has been a staple to Juan Carlos Amoros midfield, she has been improving game in and game out for the team becoming a standout player in the league. Her grit and passion on the field will surely be missed by the team and fans.

Every game she’s played in she was a threat to the opposing team’s midfield and back line. She loved to create chaos and panic with the ball at her feet. She quickly became a fan favorite at Gotham.
Sheehan helped lead Gotham FC to its first NWSL Championship in 2023. In the 2023 NWSL Quarterfinal, she scored her first career goal to help the club to a 2-0 win over the North Carolina Courage. The midfielder started all playoff games en route to the Championship.
She was selected by the club with the 33rd overall pick in the 2021 NWSL Draft. In 2021, Sheehan was loaned to Paris FC in the Division I Arkema before returning to Gotham and becoming a staple in the midfield under Juan Carlos Amoros.
